Logo and full brand book design for «Bliaharnia u Shkilia» — a shop selling sheet-metal products (gutters, drip caps, parapets, custom flashings, roofing). The owner, Viktor Shkil, also installs his products on-site for clients. The goal was to set a recognisable visual identity that conveys the character of the business and stands out instantly against local competitors.
Challenges
The category is heavily fragmented — most tinware shops look the same (cold metal, red-and-blue palettes, generic typefaces). The brand had to step out of that aesthetic without losing the «this is a tinware shop» read. The logo had to work confidently on tiny carriers (a packaging sticker, a product tag) and on large ones (the shop sign, the master's car, promotional flyers). The palette had to convey home warmth and installation reliability — not only metal.
Solutions
The mark is an abstract sheet-metal roof set next to the company name. The image reads instantly — «roof + tinsmith» — with no literal tools. The palette is built on three meanings: orange — home warmth, sunlight, shelter under a roof; black carries strength, reliability and status; white reads as newness, order and quality. The triad keeps the brand between solid and warm — exactly what a customer expects from a craftsman.
Design
The mark is an abstract sheet-metal roof. It gives the brand its own recognition point against local competitors and works at any size — from a packaging sticker to a shop sign. Colours: orange (home warmth, sunlight, shelter under a roof), black (strength, reliability, status), white (newness, order, quality). The type pairing is Benzin for headlines and TT First Neue for body copy.

Development
The brand book covers a full set of blocks: (1) the logo transcription and mark variants — horizontal, vertical, monochrome, inverted; (2) a palette with three primary colours (orange, black, white) and the meaning of each; (3) the Benzin + TT First Neue type pair with a hierarchy; (4) the grid, safe zones around the logo, and dos/don'ts; (5) carrier templates — vehicle branding, printed collateral (flyers, business cards, badges), an Instagram carousel template, and a marketplace product card. Files are delivered in vector (SVG, AI, EPS, PDF) and raster (PNG, JPG); separate print-ready templates (CMYK + bleed) and screen-ready files (sRGB) come with the kit. Every carrier was validated at the smallest size — a 30 mm packaging sticker — so the mark stays readable.
Result
The shop now owns an identity system that reads instantly against local competitors. The brand book became the source of truth for every future design task — the client now produces new carriers by themselves, without a designer, following the guide. The master's car turned into a moving advert — recognisable around Lutsk. Printed collateral is in use at trade shows and supplier meetings. In the first month after the rebrand the client booked a noticeable rise in installation enquiries through referrals — people now remember the name and spot the sign from a distance.
