An ad creative is the cheapest way to test a marketing hypothesis. And the most expensive when made without data. I am Oleksandr Filiuk, 15+ years, 130+ projects, and over that time I have seen hundreds of cases where a beautiful Behance creative produced 0.3% CTR and CPA in orbit. Because it ignored the audience. In Chernivtsi this issue is even sharper: students of the National University and the Bukovynian State Medical University, residents of two districts, tourists from Kyiv, Lviv, Poland, and Romania, and expats working in the Chernivtsi IT Cluster all live here at once. One creative will not cover them all.
A city of around 265 thousand with a tourist flow around the UNESCO Residence is a specific ad market. The local audience knows Kobylianska, Soborna, the Opera and Ballet Theatre, Turkish Square — and a creative using those locations builds instant trust. But if you advertise to Kyiv or Poland, those locations need a caption and context. This double layer is the foundation of my Chernivtsi ad work.
Chernivtsi gastronomy is a dense sector. Cafes on Kobylianska and Universytetska, restaurants with Bukovynian cuisine on Soborna, Carpathian wineries with city outlets, bars and bakeries near Hetmana Sahaidachnoho. They all compete for the same audience — locals and tourists.
I make three types of creatives. First — atmospheric Reels and Stories: interior, people, food, rhythmic edit, music. Goal — awareness, metric — reach and thru-play rate. Second — product: a specific dish, price, CTA. Goal — conversion, metric — CTR and CPA. Third — UGC: client, chef, barista shooting from inside, I edit. Goal — trust, metric — engagement rate. All tested through Meta Ads with A/B logic.
Chernivtsi tourism rests on three pillars: the UNESCO Residence, the Austro-Hungarian architectural context (Opera and Ballet Theatre, Town Hall, Kobylianska facades), and proximity to Romania and Moldova. I build creatives for hotels, short-term rental apartments, tour offices, and tour operators. The approach is parallel campaigns per audience.
For Ukrainian tourists (Kyiv, Lviv, Dnipro) — a hook about lesser-known sides of the city, not only the Residence. Walking-tour center of Kobylianska, Bukovyna wineries, music at the Opera Theatre, cafes. For international tourists (Poland, Romania) — English creative with a strong UNESCO visual and clear logistics. All of this runs through A/B tests: different hooks, different CTAs, different visuals.
The standard pack is a 3x3 matrix: three hook/headline variants, three visual variants, nine combinations. They run in parallel with the same budget and audience. After 7-14 days we see which pair wins on CTR, CPA, ROAS. The winner goes into the main campaign, losers are paused. Then the winner is tested against the next hypothesis. This is a continuous cycle, not a one-shot launch.
I work in a pair with your targetologist or recommend a trusted one. I do not click buttons in Ads Manager (a different profession), but I give creatives aligned with the funnel: cold, warm, remarketing. This makes advertising systemic.
Each creative is adapted to platform safe zones: Instagram Stories and Reels (9:16, 1080x1920), Feed (1:1 or 4:5), TikTok (9:16), YouTube Shorts (9:16). Text never crosses safe zones. The logo is in the correct brandbook variant. Colors live in the right color space (sRGB for digital). For video — Premiere Pro, motion in After Effects, music from licensed libraries (Artlist, Epidemic Sound) or TikTok trending tracks with a commercial license.
